Erin Ontario Wedding Photographer :: Leah & Steve :: hitched

Leah had a vision. While most girls dream about a perfect day for their wedding, Leah was determined to make it happen.  It wasn't done by luck, the girl has skills, they both do actually.  Steve has spent time representing our country in curling.  If you happen to be reading this outside of Canada, click here -->  What is curling?. But when it came time to plan and execute all of the details for their wedding, Leah shone.  Finding ways to be unique, finding ways to be skillful and most of all, finding ways to be herself.

It started with The Dress.  Not your typical wedding dress, but a dress that summed up the wearer perfectly.  Bold, unique and beautiful.  Then came The Bouquet, created with a brooch donated by each of her close family and friends, all coming together to create something beautiful in unity.  But don't be fooled by the real star of the show.  It was The Cake.  My bride made her own wedding cake.  A daunting task in itself, but she managed to create the most beautiful and unique cake I have ever seen.  I have seen a few wedding cakes, trust me.

While it could not have been done by just the two of them, family and friends played the role of magic elves helping their visions come together and with a smile on their face the entire time.  A beautiful Moroccan themed wedding, set amongst trees of her family's property and tents of her friends ready to spend the entire night celebrating many reoccuring themes.  A couple in love, the start of a new journey and a job well done.

Million thanks to Andy King for his help as second shooter.

Enjoy.

Hamilton Ontario Wedding Photographer :: Katelyn & Brad :: hitched

Ah, country living—such an idyllic lifestyle.  Rustic, homespun, down-to-earth, and wonderfully congenial.  It’s knowing everyone by name. Leaving your front door unlocked.  It’s hay bales and straw. Warmth and comfort. It’s wearing cowboy boots with your wedding dress. Katelyn and Brad both grew up in the country. So when the time came to choose their wedding venue, where better to share their special day, than Katelyn’s childhood home and family corn farm? The day personified the two of them perfectly.  Spent with warm friends, warm smiles and even warmer hearts.

Million thanks to Nate Dionisio for his wonderful work on this wedding with me.

Enjoy
